monday
working as a center today. nothing happened as usual, started to chat with the regular swimmers and taking charge of the big pool at times whereas part-timers are only in charge of baby pool.
tuesday
i'm being called up to do afternoon shift. i begin to take charge of situations alone. seniors started to give me tasks and stuff above from what i always do.
wednesday
morning shift this time. morning shift is the hardest to pass time. usually old people will come early in the morning to swim. i have to keep an eye on them, later they died of heart attack while they swim, i will be in deep trouble. when the sun begin to hit the complex, more people will appeared, gays and sun-tanners. i keep seeing the same guys practically everyday. my senior told me that guy gay want. and i said, "serious ah? but gays still need to eat ma, how come no need to work and come and tan everyday?" haha.
i was sitting with my partner, derek as the sun hit us strongly from where we are. i realized something is burning and came to know my face is totally toasted and have a shade's mark. i went to the opposite shaded side and chill with the seniors.
thursday
my kaki is partnering with me today. told him i had medical check-up with the naval base and he immediately called his friend that if i'm in, asked him to take care of me. that encourage me a little. but later he shared the danger and stuff in diving unit and he still asked me i still have chance to turn back during the check-up. he asked me to "keng!" haha.
friday
afternoon shift again. it rained heavily in the evening. managed to take photo of the rainbow, never seen such a close up of it before. i came to realized majority of the lifeguards married late and are in their late 40s. they still have children as young as less than ten. they still have so many years to work hard to provide for the family. seeing them, i better married and have kids in the 30s.
when this man came in, uncle john, my senior told me about this man. they called him, "splash water man" in hokkien. basically he will come almost every night around 8plus. you know what he do? he will go to one corner of the swimming pool and splash water with his hands and do kicking stationary. weird man. haha.
